We’re getting down to the wire on the launch of WWE 2K25 and want to make sure we cover off a few fun updates before the game is officially launched! This year’s MyFACTION* introduces some new elements that we’ll dive a bit deeper into and whether you’re a veteran, or jumping in for the first time, there’s a lot to discover in this year’s iteration. 

In this WWE 2K25 Ringside Report, we’ll cover the all-new World Tour, updates to Ranked Matchmaking, and more. 

WORLD TOUR

World Tour is the biggest new feature in WWE 2K25, offering a non-linear, region-specific adventure where you can travel to different locations and take on unique challenges. In each region, you’ll face off in matches that come with special rules, stipulations, and tour regulations. Think of it like a global WWE journey, where each match not only tests your faction’s strength but also unlocks exclusive rewards that can elevate your cards and team.

This non-linear structure lets you decide your path, allowing you to choose which regions to visit and which challenges to tackle first. It’s a fresh, exciting way to experience MyFACTION, with different types of rewards that vary depending on where you go and which objectives you complete.

RANKED MATCHMAKING UPDATES

The competitive spirit of Ranked Matchmaking is back, but with a few new updates to give players a fresh experience and improved ranking experience. Now, your performance in matches truly matters, with bonuses for winning with lower-tier cards. It’s not just about using the best cards; it’s about your skill as a player. There are a few factors that play into ranking:

• Player Performance rating system: 
  • How you perform in a match matters, if you perform well you will gain an RP bonus 
• Card Tier difference: 
  • Winning while using lower tier cards vs. higher tier cards will now net the player bonus RP.
  • This will reward players with higher skill levels for winning while using lower tier cards.
• Rank Protection
  • Players will have rank protection once per Rank tier to help their ascent while preventing rank drop.
• Other bonuses: Win Streaks and Quick matches

MATCH TYPE SUPPORT

As mentioned in previous Ringside Reports, we’ve introduced a few new match types and expanded match type support across different modes. In WWE 2K25, the same can be said for MyFACTION. A few new match types are now supported across live events and solo matches. Take a look below for a list of what’s newly added.

CARD PACKS

Later this week, three new card packs** will be available at launch. Take a look below for a sneak peek at some of the cards included in each pack.

Speaking of MyFACTION cards, we’ll also have a few Persona Cards that fans can expect around launch, such as the return of Mattel “Elite” Trish Stratus, Mattel “Elite” Bray Wyatt, and King Booker. Make sure to check in when the game is available as we also have some locker codes slated for fans as well!

At launch, depending on whether you pre-ordered or purchased the Deadman or The Bloodline Editions you’ll get a variety of MyFACTION Cards such as Mattel “Elite Roman Reigns, Mattel “Elite” Jey Uso, Undertaker ‘90, Nation of Domination The Rock, and more.
